I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I won't get into all the details now. Let's save that for another time. But here’s a few quick bits.
My mother was from Buffalo, New York and my father from Richland, Washington. I worked as a commercial fisherman in Alaska. Spent my high school years on a horse ranch, rode lots of dirt bikes, broke bones, got stitches, excelled in sports, got some interest from Central Washington University to play football, which chose not to pursue.
For sake of argument I’ll blame my grandfather for the path I took. No, he wasn’t an actor, nor in showbusiness. He was a salesman for Lucks bakery from the old days. This man had a way of telling stories. Strangers or family, he could always keep a room filled with laughter, even when they knew he was full of it…which he often was. Didn’t matter. We all love a good story.
My career started in the theatre, studying with the truly magnificent Dr. Tawnya Pettiford-Wates (Dr. T). Like everything else, I dove in head first immersing myself in character and craft. I continued in the theatre and not long after found myself in a casting office auditioning for a major tv series shooting in Seattle. 5 different auditions 5 call backs out the gate. Did I book? No. But hey, this led to my first agent. Soon after, bookings and a SAG card.
I would later move to Los Angeles where I live today, continuing to thrive, collaborate and work along side some extraordinarily talented and diverse artists from all over, telling stories in the film and television industry.
Well, that's it in a quick little nutshell. Of course there's much more to tell, but things move quick around here and this story is still unfolding, so…I promise to keep you posted.
